On Saturday, I got an email announcing a sale on my favorite meal planning website PlanToEat.com. I was excited about saving 50% so I immediately bought a subscription for another year. I quickly wrote a blog post to share the deal with you and….wow….
You all must hate meal planning as much as I do. I’ve gotten so much feedback, so many questions and so many of you joining me!
I thought the sale ended yesterday, but it in fact ends today, so I decided to throw together a quick screencast to help all of you get jump started on using it. There are a ton of help pages on the site, but sometimes it’s just nice to see how a regular mom uses it.
I threw this together this morning, so don’t judge my filmmaking skills. I hope you find it helpful!

My Favorite Easy and Healthy Recipe
I want this post to be useful for those of you who already have a meal planning solution, so here’s my absolute favorite recipe. It’s really easy (I use frozen chicken breasts) and everyone in my family likes it. It also freezes well. The recipe trifecta.
Salsa Chicken
Course: Main Course
Ingredients
- 2 cans black beans
- 3 chicken breasts
- 1 jar salsa
- 2 cups corn frozen
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cheese
Directions
- Put all but last 2 ingredients in crockpot. Cook on low 8 hours. Serve over rice, chips, salad, burrito sized tortilla or taco shell.

Note: This post contain an affiliate link, but I have no official association with Plan To Eat. I loved saving 50% and thought you might too. Enjoy!

Thanks for tutorial, Kat! My sister bought a subscription for me as an early Christmas gift and I can’t wait to start using it today! I’m so glad you shared the link!
Myra,
What a great gift! I hope it’s as helpful for you as it has been for me.
Great demo! I love to meal plan, and it does make the week go so much easier when I take the time!
I am loving this site so far, Kat! Thank you! Just wondering how I get the shopping list on my phone????
Suzanne,
Just open plan to eat on your phone’s web browser and you’re good to go!
Haha! Well, that was easy! Thank you 😉
This is something I am definitely looking into buying. It would make my life SO much easier! Thanks for the opportunity and let us know that we didn’t miss the boat on this sale!
Thank you for doing the demo. I discovered today that you can create different “stores” on your shopping list and move ingredients around. . .so I can put all the things I normally buy at Costco on a separate list, instead of having to sort through one big list. Nice!
oooooo…thanks for pointing that out Danielle! Will definitely use that feature as well. 😉
I signed up right away yesterday and can’t wait to use it!
Thanks Kat! I did just join this as well. I’m not sure how to “find” people to follow them, but I’ll try to figure it out. Thanks for the tutorial…this is the coolest thing since sliced bread. I love how it makes a shopping list for me so I don’t have to DREAD grocery shopping and getting all overwhelmed figuring out what to buy! Does she offer the 50% every year each black Friday?
