Motivation Monday Details
For those of you who are new, here’s how Motivation Monday works:
Anyone who takes some sort of action can enter to win. Your action might be:
- getting up early, reading your Bible
- going on a date with your kids
- creating a mission statement
- exercising
- creating a meal plan
- Writing a goal
It can be any action that improves who you are as a believer or a mother.

I ran a 5k and continued training for my 10k and took our kids out for a special outing.

I have continued my morning routine. We are establishing our family prayer time. Hubby and I are working on improving our scheduling to increase family time and set aside one night a week where we have nothing planned except school work and family time.

I took action by going back to work after my maternity leave was over. I really didn’t want to go back but life makes it necessary right now. I have a good attitude about it though!

I spent time in God’s Word and talking with Jesus before my family awoke …even though we were at a friend’s home for Thanksgiving break.

After showing some physical symptoms of overload I took action this week by giving myself the grace to take a brake and let others take care of me. So often I go, go, go and give, give, give until I have nothing left. This past week was a good reminder that it’s okay (and necessary) for mamma to take care of herself sometimes.

I ran this morning, went to get extra coupon inserts at Starbucks, and had time with the Lord and stuck to my cleaning schedule. Clean kitchen, yeah!

But now I’m trying to spend more “floor time.” Kat, I would love some ideas for “routine special times.” I get so caught up in my routines, I need to make them a routine to make sure they get in!! I planned our meals for the week, and wrote down our schedule for the week. I also printed out/prepared for our first annual Advent devotionals. Got a really good idea of an Advent chain, and reading a story every day. Think this is something that our whole family (even the young kiddos) will enjoy and take something away from.
