Today is Motivation Monday! Tell us in the comments if you’ve taken action and get a chance to win today’s giveaway which is a copy of Britt Nicole’s latest CD The Acoustic EP!
And that’s not all!
You also get a complete prize pack with a T-shirt, a Britt Nicole coffee mug AND a pack of Starbucks coffee. Not only will you be an amazing caffeinated fun mom, but you’ll have music you and your kids will love. Bonus!
This CD is actually the very first CD I gave to my daughter and can I tell you? It warmed my music nerd heart that she POURED over the liner notes the minute I put it in her hands. My kids and I sing all these songs loudly as we run errands. It’s been our default music for a few months now.
Actually, I liked it so much, I contacted her pr people just to see if I could get a giveaway for you all!
Get all the details at the end of the post and find out who won last week’s prize.
Girl Can Saaaaang

I took action this week!
One of the ways I took action this week was today when I hosed down and scrubbed out my daughters’ baby pool and put it in the garage. It’s been sitting outside collecting dirt, not being used and getting gross since she last used it two months ago.
I took action this week!
Let’s see – I menu-planned! I had quiet time! I worked out 5 of 7 days! I’m getting there!
I took action this week!
I started creating a more realistic budget to pay down some serious debt; I finished a meal plan; and I made a list of goals to complete by the end of each month for the rest of this year! 🙂
I took action this week!! I am joining in the Making my Home a Haven challenge, and actually doing okay with it. I love the encouragement and accountability. I also did a major cleaning in my home over the weekend!! Yahoo!!
I woke up this morning at 6am! Much earlier than normal. I prayed and read my Bible. Thank you God! Now, please pray that I could give up sugar as a “detox” today from the crazy birthday party we had this weekend for our son 🙂

I delayed turning my computer on in the morning so I could study my Sunday School lesson for the week (felt so good to spend that time with God).
I had a really great heart to heart talk with my husband today. It is so great to sit and reconnect with him after a very busy and hectic week.
This week has been full of me taking action. It feels so good to accomplish things I set my mind too.

I got a little early every day this week. I’m not getting up as early as I need to yet, but I am trying to take baby steps. I’m 9 months pregnant, so i am trying to give myself a break for now (and trying to not think about the sleepless nights ahead of me).

I took action by organizing my son’s closet and got rid of all the clothes that didn’t fit and took them to the local thrift store. How refreshing to open that closet door to see just the clothes they wear and ones that fit.

I followed on FB.
I just came across your blog and haven’t officially read all the material but I am working on it. I am a new SAHM with a 10 week old baby boy. I am adjusting to this new life and loving every minute of it. I would LOVE a new CD to worship to.
Things I am working on… Reading consistently everyday, listening to an audiobook/podcast during nursing, making a to do list every morning (I loved the idea of putting scripture on the other side and meditating on that all day as you accomplish your list), meal planning, and sticking to our limited grocery budget.
I took action this week!!!!
I have been getting up earlier and starting my exercising and quiet time. So looking forward to getting that time and getting back into shape… 🙂

I FINALLY got all of those winter clothes out of the attic and the girls had a “fashion show” to see what still fit (on the oldest VERY little). They had a great time and now it is washed, put up, and ready when needed! Now, to make a “needs” list for each of them and then the hunt begins!

I took action this week. My 17 yr old is taking sewing lessons and I was able to go and help out. She could have driven herself, but wanted me there and even thanked me for helping her.
While I’m probably older than most of your readers, you have inspired and encouraged me. My 22 yr old daughter moved home earlier this year and gave birth to a precious boy 5 weeks ago. It kind of turned our house upside down. I’ve had many new challenges as a mom in the last year and I’m glad I found “Inspired to Action”.

I took action! ~K
I did a work-out tape today…will be sore tomorrow!!!
I committed to exercise daily (or at least do SOMETHING every day)! Sometimes a speed walk (jogging is not for my bladder control…yet), sometimes a video and often just the 5 min circuit (push-ups, bicycle sit-ups and squats) love that one and I was sore the next day (is that sad?) and sometimes I would just do more active play with the kids.
thanks,
H.F.

I took action this week!
My action so far today was to get out of the house! I took my twin girls (age 1!) for a walk down the driveway to watch the backhoe dig a ditch along our driveway and to collect intact acorns (with their “hats” on). My goal is to get outside at least once everyday and get some fresh air! It can be really easy to lose track of that when you are chasing two 1 year olds! AND I’m working on my meal plan for the week. Phew! I’m exhausted now!
I got up before my kids, had quiet time. It.was.hard. Correction: it was hard to get started, but once it was under way I really hit a groove, so to speak. I’m praying that the memory of that great time in the word this morning will inspire me to leap out of bed tomorrow morning! 🙂 ~K
After reading a few posts on here and reading the “Maximizing Your Morning” ebook, I decided it was time to fully allow God to make me more faithful in the area of spending intentional time in worship and in His word before my kids wake up. I started a couple weeks ago, but let a few morning pass because of random excuses (baby teething-bad sleep, stayed up too late etc.) but when I read Kay’s comment about NO MORE EXCUSES, I was challenged and encouraged to fully commit to developing this HABIT of waking early, EVEN on weekends and after rough nights :D. It’s been a few days now and I love the consistency. There’s been different things or potential excuses every night/morning I have decided to be more consistent (inevitably!) but God has helped me remain faithful to my commitment and it’s been great to TAKE ACTION! 🙂 Thanks for all the wisdom and encouragement!
I took action this week!

I made doctors appointments this week early in the day that way I’d make sure to get up and get ready first thing instead of wasting the day away without ever getting ready. So far so good. It worked today! 🙂

I set a goal for myself and I am excited to take action!
I took action this week!
I took serious action this morning! I have a new 10 day old baby (Ainsley Belle), and having been blessed with a miraculously speedy recovery, I set today as my day for action.
I lounged and enjoyed every minute with the baby last week – and will continue to do so throughout my maternity leave – but today was my deadline to get up, get dressed in something besides slouchy clothes and put on sneakers. I popped the baby in the stroller and walked my six year old to school, and plan to hold myself to doing it every day this week and next as I gradually work my way into exercising again. I definitely just wanted to stay in bed this morning, but figure challenging myself early to get back into a routine is good for me and good for baby girl. 🙂
One more thing, my latest blog: http://www.carpediembeth.blogspot.com/
So many blogs like Inspired to Action, which I just discovered, have helped create calm from chaos in my life!

I started to plan my days in the mornings and the difference is incredible. I enjoy my days so much more now and I don’t have to just run around thinking what to do next.
I took action by achieving a personal goal regarding hospitality. I hosted my ladies’ bible study in my home this week in spite of my insecurities. And we had a blessed time together around God’s word and some coffee. Can’t wait to do it again! 🙂

I got up early and spent time with the Lord.
i took action!!!!!! i started this journey!!
My baby has a habit of waking up super early to eat, then going right back to sleep. Usually I go back to bed too, and just lay there frustrated that I’m still tired but can’t go back to sleep. But this Monday, I stayed up, and had time to read my Bible and pray for my family and plan the day’s routine, and it was THE. BEST. DAY. we have had in a LONG time. Now I just need to keep it up!!

I took action this week!
I took action 4 months ago. I desperately wanted to stop being over weight and not feeling good. I said to myself, if we can control ourselves in the ways we know we should by not stealing, cheating and lying which are sins, then I can control my eating and exersize which could be a sin of I don’t take care of myself. With that attitude in mind it became easier to keep on track and I have lost 25 lbs. so far. I have 25 more to go.
I resisted the urge to snooze each day!
I took action this week!
I’ve been having a minimum of prayer time and short Bible-reading time in the mornings before my kids get up. Exercising is next. Got out of the habit; now I gotta get back into it!
I took action this week!
