More About The Book…
Here’s a little bit more about the book Beautiful Things Happen When A Woman Trusts God. I’m going to be honest. I watched this twice just because her accent is so cool.
I’m deep like that.
(RSS and email subscribers might need to click here to view the video.)
Balancing Things Out
Ok. I loved Sheila’s message in the video, but that was a little high on the frilly end for me. Fancy furniture, flickering fireplace in the background, sweeping music. Awesome and wonderful. But I feel the need to balance things out a bit.
So…I give you some crazy incredible music (FB peeps – apologies for the repeat). This is NEEDTOBREATHE with the song Washed By The Water. Please note that this is completely acoustic and even unmic’d. Ridiculous.
Every day is new, my friends. We are washed by the Water.

I took action!
I am starting an afternoon routine. I’ve got morning and evening down pretty good, so I need to work on my afternoons now.
I took action this week.
I got up at 5am this morning. Read 3 chapters in The Bible, read a devotional, prayed, and planned.
I took action this week!
I took action this week.
I got up with my husband at 6am, we read the Bible together, and then after he left for work I worked through my current bible study and had a prayer time.
I took action!
The action I am taking was to download the two ebooks (maximize your mornings and the one about making a mission statement), today is our family’s “rest day” and I am going to read the mission statement one and start thinking about that. Our family has a mission statement, but maybe I’ll make myself a sub-mission statement to help keep myself moving forward.
I’m also going to the gym today…a big step for me after the little one arrived in May.
Thanks for writing this blog Kat, I enjoy reading it!
I took action this week!
I got up early last week and today to pray. Thank you for your prayer calendars, I have been using them every day!

I wrote my Mommy Mission Statement. I will try to blog about it and link up here this week.

I took action last week bv sitting down with my young family and putting a mission statement together and reading it every morning during devotions so we all know what is expected of us.
I picked up my One-Year Bible again last week. At this rate, it will be a One-Decade Bible, but something’s better than nothing!
I love that NEEDTOBREATHE song and WOW, that acoustic version is AMAZING!!! Thanks for sharing!

I actually got up 1/2 hour early and started reading Gospel Centered Parenting. Still really like the idea of a mission statement, hoping to put one together with family.

I got up early, read my Bible, did my Bible study, worshiped, exercised, and prayed! enjoying the quiet of the morning!

I cleaned the play room in the house. Getting rid of old, broken toys, and donating things that my boys didn’t play with anymore or that were just too young for them. Now there’s less clutter and they are actually able to see and get to all the rest of their toys.
I took action this week.
I took action this week. I read my bible EVERY morning and prayed specifically for my husband and children EVERY day.
I also made extra effort to get up earlier which made it possible to pray and read the bible.
I also tried to exercise for just five minutes each day though I didn’t quite make it.
Thank you for your book Maximizing your Mornings. It has really helped me.

I took action this week!
Last week & today I’ve taken action by keeping up on daily planning, quiet time & daily prayers (thank you SO MUCH for your prayer calendar’s), exercise 3x, went out with the boys yesterday… and today hubby is out with our oldest, while I spend the day with our youngest. (Unfortunately, youngest awoke @ 3am this morning with ingrown toenail pain and we’ve been up ever since.) But, due to the early rise… I’ve gotten a lot of reading done! Devotion time & prayer time with my little man too!
Thanks for continuing sharing your blessings, talents, and God’s love with us!
Hugs, HL

I’ve been getting up early each morning to read my Bible and excersise! It feels so good!
I took action!
I took action this week by starting a regular running routine (haven’t done this since before my 8 month old was born!) and rising early to spend time in God’s word!
Instead of running around like crazy to clean my house for out-of-town guests, I took a nap during my daughter’s nap so I could be refreshed and not exhausted. My tendency is to work myself really hard, so “getting off the hamster wheel” is very needed but very difficult, too!
I took action today!
I got up early and exercised and read my Bible. this is my 7th day if getting up early and I am loving it!
I took action!
I made a menu plan for a week at a time (something that didn’t happen for most of July!) Phew, it feels good to do that again!
I prayed for patience this morning during our homeschooling hours and it has a been a fabulous day! Praise God He answers prayer!

I did my morning routine today and stuck with my plans for dinner. What a difference it makes!
Sounds like a great book! Ironically, my goal is to trust and to have more faith in areas that challenge me!
Sorry…I didnt quite follow the directions. I took action in deciding to trust and have faith in the power of God in areas that challenge me the most.
Thanks!

I wrote a mission statement for my life!
I downloaded both ebooks and started getting up earlier in the morning to spend time in prayer and reading my Bible. We’re also starting the 90-day Bible challenge this week.
I took action this week.
I have been purposeful in keeping my home clean – not for the sake of merely keeping a clean/tidy house, but because I know it contributes to the well-being of the ones I love most.
I took action this week.
I’m new to this blog and have been inspired by the title: “Inspired to Action” all week. Whenever a task or opportunity was before me, that phrase would spring into my head and I would take action…thanks ๐
I took action this week!
I took action today when I felt overwhelmed and worried over the coming school year (I’m a teacher and start inservice tomorrow) in combination with my kids starting preschool and our additional ministry responsibilities (my husband is a youth and college pastor). Instead of continuing to wallow in my worry, I listened to the (amazingly well-timed) video about trust and song you posted and allowed the Lord to encourage me.
I also downloaded your two e-books and plan to have them worked through before students come to my classroom next Wednesday.
I blogged about what the Lord spoke to me here: http://ourhenryhome.blogspot.com/2010/08/washed-by-water.html
Love Motivation Monday, Kat! Thanks!

Hubby and I talked about some of the goals that we have for the upcoming year.
I took action this week!
I made a Master list of all we need to do before Baby #2 comes along – friends to call to take DD1, list & numbers of appointments that might need cancelling for DH, started gathering supplies for the homebirth, things still needed to buy for the baby (not too many – we mostly have what we need!), what still needs to be done in the nursery (we just moved my husband’s office out of there and will now make it in a nursery – granted, we won’t be needing it for the first few months anyway ๐ But it would be nice to say, use the dresser for the clothes! heh)
Now we’re slowly but surely chipping our way through the list… ๐

Thanks so much for the NeedToBreath video. The part where it says even those who love you let you down……just opened a window to my soul and let me see that God is the ONLY One who will never let me down!!!
By the way, I did take action!!!
I took action by buying a dry erase calendar, putting it on our fridge, and wrote my schedule out for the week. My goal is to put our menu on there every week, and also a list of each of our household duties to help our home run more smoothly.

And, to help with menu planning/fridge beauty/minimizing food waste, I made a list of all the fresh produce in the fridge and posted it prominently on the OUTSIDE of my fridge. Maybe, just maybe, it will help decrease the amount of science experiments in my crisper drawers?
