Today is Motivation Monday! Tell us in the comments if you’ve taken action and get a chance to win today’s giveaway which is another CD from the Seeds Family Worship Series.
This one is called Seeds of Praise. I haven’t heard it yet, but I just ordered my own copy and if it’s anything like the other cd’s we have, it will be excellent!
Get all the details at the end of the post and find out who won last week’s prize.
Inspiration From A 6 Year Old
The other day my youngest daughter came up to me and said, “Look Mama! I wrote on my hand!”
In case you can’t read it, it says, “I WILL BECOME…”
I have no idea why she wrote that or how she spelled it (maybe she asked her sister or her dad), but it is now the single most inspiring picture I own.
Our children will become.
She will become. I don’t know what, when or how. But it is my desperate prayer that I’d give her everything she needs to become everything God dreams for her.
What truth written on the hand of a child…

I’ve been working through the maximise your mornings book. And loving it.
I was definitely getting up at 5.55 this morning – no excuses… ‘cept although I went to bed at 9.45 I didn’t get to sleep ’til 11. Then my eldest son was up sick from 12 – 2. Then my daughter decided she’d get up from 3 – 4 and then my youngest got up at 5 for a feed. I put him back in bed and had a bit of a sleep.
The great thing is that Monday is my baby sitter day and I stayed in my pjs and had my quiet time working through the book. Having a bit of trouble downloading worship music… finding stuff that’s downloadable in Australia is a bit tricky! :S

I FB’ed for help with Christian music!

I took Action and has a little “Mommy Retreat” and created a Motherhood Mission Statement and Housekeeping Mission Statement – then listed an action I can take this week to help achieve my goals. Thanks for the fabulous motivation.

Well done Kate!!! I’m getting there slowly… still working on finding some worship music. But my FB post has gotten me some great results. Hooray.

i am continuing to get up early to read/pray AND i have a meal plan AND that meal plan makes it possible to share 2 meals with my brother and sister-in-law who just had their second baby with only the slightest increase in cost (not really meant to pat myself on back – certainly don’t deserve that…only mentioned so that i could say…if you have a meal that you usually have leftovers from, maybe there is someone who you could bless by sharing instead of freezing sometimes even mom’s who aren’t new moms need a little love too)

I had my first weekly retreat at a local coffee shop. I made a HUGE master to do list, spent some time working on prayer cards to pray for my kids, perused a cook book for menu recipes, and looked at the week ahead. On the exercise front, I rode my bike to and from the coffee shop. 🙂

I read your ebook a couple of weeks ago. the first week I got up at my usual time but with intention, not just rolling out of bed with a groan 🙂 It truly helps to have everything set out the night before.
then the next 2 weeks I backed up the time 15 min so now I’m getting up at 6 am! I’m having my quiet time and this past week started going to the gym.
I can’t believe how much better I feel throughout my whole day!

Getting up early for time with my Lord!
This morning, despite my son waking up in the middle of it, joining me in bed, and talking constantly as I was trying my best to read, I actually managed to read an entire devotion. That’s action not only because I need the spiritual focus for the day (and that’s something I haven’t been practicing much lately), but also because I’m supposed to review this devotional book, so I need to make sure I get through it!

I took action by working through your Maximizing Your Mornings book and got up at 5:30 this morning to have my quiet time!

As I am preparing to have baby number two in a few short weeks, this past week I finished many items on my To Do List, including packing all of the items that I can pre-pack into my hospital bag and making sure the list of items to add last minute is detailed enough that my hubby knows what to get if I am unable to for some reason.
Just discovered you, and will have to read more. But…I want to get in on the giveaway if possible! Seed Worship is awesome! We only have one CD, but I’d love to own them all. I think they’ve been encouraging ME more than my kids! 🙂

Woke up at 5:45 to read my bible. Plan is to start at the beginning of the bible and read it to the end. It is so exciting to see the progress I am making in a few short weeks. I just finished the book of Joshua today!
Also planned the rest of the week while I still had some moments of quiet! : )

Ok- still getting up early, still attending bible study, and this week I cleaned out the kids toys and donated them, and I have started a healthy eating journal.
Look at me! I’m a ROCK star of action!

I got up early, had my quiet time, went for a walk, and made my hubby breakfast. I love this new way of living!! Thank you!!
I bought a family devotional for us to use this summer and I have been formulating my summer schedule/daily framework in my head. I hope to get it down on paper this week.
I am so pumped to read about all this action taking place all over the globe 🙂

Hi Kat
I took action this week, but it’s only a baby step so I don’t think I qualify for the giveaway (besides, I’m in the UK so I’m not sure if I can even enter! LOL)
Anyways I have been setting my alarm for 6.30 am since Monday (I usually get up at 7, 7.15 ish and we are always rushing to get out the door for school drop-off!). Haven’t actually rolled out of bed at that time yet, but I have been awake and thinking about it, which for a morning monster like me is progress! I have your ebook (which is great) and I have been preparing my mission statement. Next step: Get up when alarm goes off, and go downstairs, and start making the most of my mornings!

Please don’t enter me — I just wanted to say that the Seeds Family Worship CDs are the best — I was so impressed with the snippets I found on YouTube that we ordered all 5. They are — by far– the best songs to help kids memorize Scripture!

After spending probably weeks thinking about how to rearrange our main room, I just did it. We moved out furniture (and some extra furniture that was “decorating” my son’s room) and really opened up space and getting rid of clutter is great! Now, we just need to work on keeping it out.
I worked out 3 times last week, AND worked on my mission statement. Not finalized yet, but it’s a work in progress. 😉
Today, we tackled the school room. We are in a process of declutttering. I love your inspirational site!!
I took action this morning and did devotions with my children.
