Hi Kat!
Thanks so much for this E-Book! Very helpful! I am excited to start, just wondering if I really need to start off with the baby steps, say 5 min earlier each day/week? Would starting right at 5:30 am be a bad idea? I guess I’m too eager to start….

Pamela,
I really depends on your personality. My husband does things cold turkey really well. Me? Not so much, unless I’m desperate.
Either way, I’d definitely recommend that if you start at 5:30 right away, that you make sure to go to bed early, accordingly. It’s easy to forget we still need the same about of sleep.
I hope that helps!

I’ve not done any of the challenges yet, but I’m considering it. 🙂 I have started getting up early though, and I’ve got to say, I am loving my quiet time! I’m going to bed early (usually between 8:30 and 9:30), and waking up before my alarm (usually between 6:00 and 6:30), so I’m not having any trouble getting up early. The trouble is, by about 4:30 in the afternoon, I’m wiped out! It’s all I can do to stay awake until 8:00 some evenings. I know I’m getting enough sleep, so do you have any suggestions? Before this I was getting up around 8:00, and didn’t seem to have any trouble staying up until 9:00 or 10:00, so I’m not sure why those extra two hours early are making it so hard to function in the early evening. 🙂 I really want to get up early, but it’s like my body is going through withdrawal, even though I’m getting plenty of sleep. I’d appreciate any suggestions on how to get up early, and still function at the end of the day. Thanks! 🙂
Hi Emily,
I hope that this mail is not too late for you as we are already in mid February and your post was in January. First of all, don’t give up. Secondly, your body I presume (and I am just a Mum like you not a doctor or anything!) is just getting into the whole new routine, as far as it is concerned your 8 or 9am day is still starting then, so you will feel tired earlier. Have you thought of going for a stroll outside for about 10 or 20 minutes, I always find the fresh air just invigorates me when I am feeling tired after a long week. Otherwise, if you can have a ‘power nap’ just for 30 minutes, just that quick nap does wonders for me and I am ready to face the day again.
I really hope this helps. I know it is hard, but with just a few changes we can do it 🙂
