God bless you

I am so glad I found this site! I have been asked to give a 20 minute devotional at a friends baby shower. I have never done that before and I am clueless! I am hoping to somehow incorporate the mother’s mission statement! Finally I have a launching point! If you have any suggestions I would be so so happy!

I started liking your page in Facebook and I am sooo happy I found this site too. I am a first-time mom/stay-at-home mom of a lovely 13-month old girl. I always wanted to be a better wife and mom. I know your e-books will definitely help.

  • antonela says:

Hi Kat. I was very depressed today, after a crazy morning with my kids. Funny thing is, I signed them all up for camp for a few hours and days a week, just so they can be with kids their own age and have some fun time away from home, during this summer vacation. Well, it turns out, I feel like I damned myself, I created a means of stress and friction for almost every day of the entire summer, and I’ve got no break at all so far. I felt very discouraged and I realized I’m a person that I don’t recognize anymore, very grumpy and negative almost always. I started browsing the web about things like why do I get so emotional and then blame my kids for my reaction to their action, thinking they are some ungreatful little creatures that were put on this earth for the sole purpose to torture me. This is crazy, because I love my children to death, and I’d sacrifice anything for their well being. I really hope I can find some good advice and some better ways to deal with my circumstances.

    • antonela says:

Wow, I just finised reading your ebook about mornings. I know it’s impossible for me to do it this way, because I work nights, but I really got some great ideas out of it, and the main and most important one is the planning and the discipline, getting into the habit of doing the same things at the same time every day, just like medicine needs to be taken at certain times for it to work properly. I used to do this at some point, when I was younger, but my life fell off the band waggon, because I had so many changes and stressors in the last 10 years alone, that many people don’t have in 50 years or even a life time. Thank you for your generosity and for sharing your positive attitude about life, it really feels contagious.

  • Michelle says:

Thank you so much, i hope you get blessed, you are blessing so many!

    Sara K.

Thanks!

    • Kat says:

Well, what sort of inspiration are you looking for? I can certainly recommend some of my favorites, depending on your reply.

  • Hi Kat, I want to thank you for the encouragement you have been providing me in my motherhood and in my blog. I am a christian mom and pediatrician who really wants to encourage moms to know Jesus and to work their kid’s heart. I live in Brazil and here most moms are what you call nonbelievers. They think they know Jesus, but as most of all are catholics you know… The Protestant churches here dont have a good reputation because people dont accept the Truth. When I discovered your podcast, God centered mom podcast and then I met other american christian moms on instagram, I could see that there are women like me! I dont complain about living here, first because I love my country! It is beautiful and people are really kind in here, and also because I know God places us where He wants.. So until He wants I will serve him here! And get your help from there! Thank you! Love janaina

    • Kat says:

It’s so nice to meet you! I’m glad this blog and others have been an encouragement to you. Thank you for serving Him in Brazil. You are in my prayers today.

  • Terri Hamman says:

Thank you! I’m looking forward to getting to know you too!!!
