Life is great, but I dream of doing big, great things in far off lands for God. My husband and I feel called to missions... but we consistently hear Him tell us "Wait" and "Get ready"... so I've been doing THAT! In my "getting ready", God has given me a craving for reading materials about social justice. Books like The Hole in Our Gospel, Half the Sky, Not for Sale, etc. The good and the bad of it is my eyes have been OPENED! There is so so so much pain, suffering, evil, and ugliness in the world. It can become overwhelming and feelings of hopelessness can creep in. BUT... I am constantly reminded that the world IS beautiful. It's all around us. Beautiful people creating beautiful things. My blog, A Beautiful Mission, is about seeking out and celebrating BEAUTY. When I experience beauty, it brings me HOPE... and I want to share that! Stop by and say Hello!! It would thrill me!
