Simple Meal Planning - Plan to Eat

Weekly Tip: My Favorite Healthy Breakfast

I’ve been reading a lot lately about nutrition and how it impacts our energy. You see, my energy level and those of my children always seem to be inversely proportionate. When they are high energy, I want to sit alone in a dark room. When they are low energy…well, that never happens.

I’m no nutrition guru, but I’ve started taking small steps that have made a big difference. Two of those steps are drinking a lot of water first thing to rehydrate my body. And I’ve also been steering away from cereal, my old staple, in the morning and focusing on protein and greens.

Here is my favorite new breakfast burrito recipe that is SO handy. I’ll make 30 or so of these and freeze them and I have a super quick, super healthy breakfast always available. I use low carb tortillas, egg whites and turkey sausage. I also really pack in the spinach. Even my kids like them!

  • I have SOOOO loved hearing all about how you meal plan and organize your grocery list/cooking life. I have cut out so many extra hours already in joining “plan to eat,” and following your helpful tips….Do you happen to have any tips for laundry or dishes too? Those are the two things in my life right now that require so much of my time and energy every day. Granted, I have a newborn and a toddler so there might not be any other way to simplify these tasks–but if there is, I would LOVE to hear about it!

My friend recommended this free site (you can purchase more info/tools but it’s not necessary) for the Myers-Briggs test. Super fast, simple, pretty layout, good info–all good things: http://www.16personalities.com/

I remember Megan talking about personalities before. I like that she spoke about marriages too. Love listening to her explain things too! I did take the test the first time when I heard her speak. I’m an INFJ. I have a husband who has no interest in this stuff, but it would be fun to see what he is because I think many of our discussion and communication issues could be explained by some of these personality traits.
