How To Save At The Grocery Store

True story – I used to go to the grocery store so much that the checkout people invited me to their weddings and baby showers. While I did make lovely friends, I also wasted a LOT of money on random purchases because I had NO idea what I was going to cook for dinner each day.

Enter PlanToEat.com. Now, not only do I know what I’m going to make each night, but I also piggyback meals so that I use leftovers from one meal in the main dish the next night. Roasted chicken becomes chicken quesadillas or chicken soup. Less wasted food, fewer trips to the store and more homecooked goodness.

Voila!

  • Janet says:

I love that concept “give within your means”. Why is that so novel? It should be natural, but somehow I think I’ve lost sight of it a bit. Time for more home made gifts and thoughtful notes, rather than spending. Thanks for another great podcast.

  • Loved this episode. Finances are so very important to so many aspects of life. I was so moved by the quote that Kat brought up. So true!
