Thank you for the reminder that God measures output, not input. I know that the “perfect” morning routine is less important than a routine that consistently produces great days, but forget it all too often.

    • Kat says:

It’s definitely an easy thing to lose sight of…we all do at times. Keep on keepin’ on! Glad you enjoyed the podcast. It’s always a little nerve wracking to do solo shows – you’ve encouraged me by letting me know it was helpful. Thanks!

  • KatieKatie says:

What was the author of the book you were talking about on your podcast?

  • I love your practical tips that make earlier mornings achievable. I grew to love waking early, and it honestly started with doing one of the hello mornings challenges several years ago. I need a little boost to get back into the habit, and am excited to join the challenge again. Thank you for the daily workbook. That’s a great addition!

  • Hey Kat, When I completed your survey I couldn’t think of any ideas for guests….but then I did – didn’t want to mess with your results by going through it all again (!) so thought I’d drop by with a comment instead – I recently found Hayley at and would love to hear an interview with her one day!

Thanks for all you do – your podcast is definitely inspiring me to action!

  • Kat says:

Thanks so much for taking the time to do the survey. I’ll add Hayley to my list!

  • Thank you for inspiring me to rise earlier. I started this early rising journey 5 months ago. I felt so overwhelmed but waking earlier has transformed my life because partnering with Him makes all the difference. Thank you!

  • Sarah says:

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Since I went back to work participating in a bible study has become a challenge. I already get up early but did challenge my self to ten mins earlier so I would have time to sit and engage with God.

  • Brittany at says:

Do you think that quiet time HAS to be first thing in the morning? I’ve settled on a really great routine that involves me getting up 5-10 min before the kids, getting them off to school, cleaning up the house a bit, and then spending the first part of naptime as my quiet time. For me, naptime is my most treasured and valuable time of the day, and so I feel like I am giving God my best. Plus, I’m more awake and better able to focus then. Thoughts?

Hey kat…I’ve been wanting to ask you this for awhile….what did your mornings look like when your children were babies? ? When did you find time with God when they were waking up in the middle of the night?? I have a 20 month old and a 6 week old and am soo desperate for my time with the Lord but I’m having trouble trying to make time and find a balance. Any input from kat or anyone is greatly appreciated! !!!! Also….would you ever consider mentoring some new wives and moms like myself?? I’ve been married for 4 yrs but could definitely use the encouragement from some women that have been here before!!!!
