Tell Me About That Thing You Can’t Do…

By January 30, 2012Get Inspired

Running uphill.

Running in the cold.

Running alone.

Running to catch up with his sisters.

Running in his monkey hat and face paint.

Running the final mile on Saturday.

4 years old. 4 weeks. 26.2 miles. Finisher medal.

Now…tell me again about that thing you can’t do…

Start small. Do it faithfully. Finish.

(If your children would like to do a kids marathon, here’s the info. I think you can register and mail in the log sheet for your medal if you’re not from Texas.)

I’ve never heard of a “kids’ marathon” before but I LOVE the concept! I wonder if my kids would be into this? I’d love to help them really get how much they can achieve if they just take it one mile at a time.

This is such a fantastic idea. The photo of your son running in the cold is the sweetest! What a meaningful and strong way to build character and instill a great sense of accomplishment by being faithful every day. Congrats to you and your kiddos, Kat! Thanks for sharing the link – I’d love to do this with my kids once old enough.
