Today is Motivation Monday! Tell us in the comments if you’ve taken action and get a chance to win today’s giveaway which is a copy of Bebo Norman’s new CD Ocean!
One of my favorite songs is by Bebo Norman. It’s called Nothing Without You. (If the video below doesn’t show up for you, click here to view it on YouTube.)
I’m going to be really, really crazy here and say that he kind of reminds me of Rich Mullins minus the hammered dulcimer. Honest, worshipful, creative, contemplative.
I know that’s a big comparison, but I’ve always really liked Bebo Norman’s insightful lyrics and soothing voice. His songs have traveled with us on many, many road trips. And, really, how can you help but like a guy named Bebo?
Get all the details at the end of the post and find out who won last week’s prize.
Mom-iversity and the Webinar
Just a reminder to be thinking about what you want to focus on learning/improving for Mom-iversity, which will be starting Oct. 1. I’ll post a syllabus worksheet tomorrow to help you plan your “course.”
Also, the webinar with Amy McCready is filling up fast. It’s free, but you need to register to attend. I’ll be sending out an announcement to the email list on Tuesday, so if you want to attend, you might want to register before it hits 5,000+ inboxes. I think there are around 50 spots left.

Action Begets Action

I took action this week!!!
Despite the fact that my baby will pop out any minute…and I’ve been in pre-labor for 3 weeks with false labor, contractions, trips to l&d and well….miserable….I actually acted on a few things on my to do list!!
I spent some time saturday in the middle of the night writing out some key bible verses and put them on cards on a ring to take to l&d when it actually happens. A sense of peace washed over me!!!
I made a master post partum task list. I even created a plan for preschool/tot school to start when the baby gets here to do with my 3 year old and my 18 month old!!! After sitting and waiting for baby to arrive (and trying to keep it inside just a little longer..) now that I’m 37 weeks, I’m ready to have the baby!!!!
Thanks for always being so encouraging Kat!!! Looking forward to joining momiversity once the dust settles around these parts!!!
I took action this week! I organized my pots and pans cupboard, and I sorted through recipes, rewriting the yucky ones, and tossing the ones that don’t taste good!
I took action this week!
I got up before my children, excercised and had quiet time! And, I absolutely could not have done it without God enabling me (we recieved a new foster baby yesterday, who slept (or not!) like a newborn)!!!
I took action this week, but barely. Talk about baby steps. I think mine was actually a baby army crawl. As a friend of yours, *Kat*, you’d think I’d be maximizing my mornings like crazy. But alas, I’m just not there yet.
Anyone with me? Today is a new day!
I am adding the #hellomornings hashtag to my first morning tweet of the day. Love the community that is there!!
I took action! Last week my husband (who works from home) and I started getting out of bed 15 minutes earlier at 7:30. This week, we are getting out of bed at 7:15. We got up this morning right on time, fixed our coffee, and sat on the back porch and read our bibles until the kids came out and joined us. Great morning!!
I took action this week!
I shared with my Mom’s Group here in Hong Kong what I learned from you ebook about on creating a mission statement. The ladies loved it and created their own.

I taught my LIFE Group on Sunday morning about the importance of Community in the church! We all need accountability, encouragement, love, and rebuking sometimes!

I took action this week!
I’ve been going to bed right after I feed my four month old son, so about 10:30 , and then getting up before he does, at about 6:30 and doing my devotions! It has been great, because I’m never consistent, but I have been this past week! Thanks for the encouragement!

I have gone a whole week without a Coke. =) Sounds dumb, but HUGE for me.

I’ve been working through a new way of eating for our family, and planning meals accordingly. It’s not going swimmingly yet, but I’m making progress!
I am taking my daughter on a date tonight!!!

My goal is 3K walk/run at least 3x a week…we went out as a family to do that this weekend. It was fun! Even the 4 year old jumped out of the jogger to run to the end!
I took action 🙂
I managed to get up super early and go the gym I just joined yesterday. I read the Bible this morning too. 🙂

I took action this week!
I didn’t go back to bed this morning so I could get my day started before my son woke up. Yes, it would have been nice to snuggle with him for a while, but leaving the house this morning with dinner prepped, chores done, prayers said, was much nicer!
I took action this week!
I stopped my agenda and played in the fall leaves with my boys – and it was SO.MUCH.FUN!
I took action this week!!
I gathered some verses to be reviewing throughout my week to keep me motivated to get up early.

I took the first step in volunteering in the childrens’ ministry at our new church which is something I’ve been thinking about doing for over a year.
I took action this week.
My husband lost his job of 10 years. So today I got out my resume and gave up my dreams of being a stay at home Mom. It is scary and heartbreaking. My soul needs some love.
I took action and weighed myself this morning! 🙂 And, I had dropped off in my quiet time with the Lord. I started back up again, and I feel much better.
I took action this week!
I purposefully and intentionally scheduled time in my week to exercise even if it was hard or I felt unmotivated. No more excuses
I follow I2A on Twitter and I tweeted about my action this week

I’m in my first trimester and have been feeling crummy but I’ve been trying to at least keep my kitchen clean daily…and work on at least one chore on my list daily.
I took action this week!
My action was to do nothing but enjoy on vacation – in fact, my only accomplishment was I completed a logic puzzle!
